Work is hard, frustrating, and often painful. Yet, we all have to do work, whether in the home, at jobs, in school, or wherever we find ourselves. How are we supposed to choose what work to do? How can we do work in a way that honors God? Why is work so hard? Does our daily work have any significance or meaning? We will explore these questions together as we seek to understand how God has called us to steward our work.

Slavery—one person owning another—is an abhorrent thought. There is a sense where God owns us, for we belong to him. But God’s ownership is in stark contrast with human ownership, for we are his treasured possession, bought with the blood of his Son. And in this loving ownership, he calls us to use our lives for his purposes, to steward every part of our lives out of love for him. In week one of our miniseries on Stewardship, we will look at ways to steward our money for the One who died for us and was raised.
