Remember His Faithfulness

Remember His Faithfulness

Joshua 24

“…In the future, when your children ask you, “What do these stones mean?” tell them that the flow of the Jordan was cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord…These stones are to be a memorial to the people of Israel forever.” – Joshua 24:6-7

God had just led the Israelites across the Jordan River by stopping the flow of flooding waters. He was making a statement to them AND to the inhabitants of the Promised Land: He was powerful, He was faithful, and He was with His people! Stones carried out of the riverbed would serve as a future reminder of these truths to generations to come. In a similar way, God has shown his power, presence, and faithfulness to me over the past years. I need to look back at those “milestones” and remember! He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is with me and will take care of me always!

Dear Lord, You are the mighty, faithful, and present God! Thank you that you have been with me in the past, helping me to cross “flooding rivers,” and that you are with me now and will always be with me to face whatever challenges and obstacles I may encounter. Help me to always remember the “milestones of your faithfulness” and be encouraged and motivated to trust and obey you today and tomorrow! Amen!

Remember your “stones” today, ladies!!! Love ya! Dawn
